The positioner generally sits on top of the decoder. 2 pairs of low voltage cable run from the rear of the positioner to the actuator (motor). 1 pair of the low voltage cable is used to send voltage to power the motor, the second pair is used to send the pulse commands which are sent from the decoder to the positioner via a short coaxial cable, to move the motor which in turn drives the dish east or west. The decoder is connected to the positioner via a short coaxial cable. Generally, positioners are only used for C band set ups.
Motorise your prime focus dish with this Diseqc 1.2 positioner, 60 memories, it will drive up to a 3 metre dish, fine tune E/W buttons, no extra remote is necessary, overload protection, anti noise design.
POWERTECH DiSEqC 1.2 HORIZON TO HORIZON KU BAND MOTOR
Motorise your KU dish with this horizon to horizon heavy duty motor. This motor will support a dish up to 1.2 metres. When correctly installed, the dish will track available KU satellites within our horizon. No need to run extra cables. Simply connect a coaxial lead from the LNB to the motor and a lead from the motor to the receiver. All commands are sent from the existing decoder.
If you do require programs from more than one satellite you should consider motorising your dish:
Points to remember:
The motor and dish must be perfectly aligned with each other and pointing to TRUE NORTH. The mounting pole must be perfectly straight. The elevation marking on the motor must be set to your latitude (latitude markings are on the side) The dish angle must be set to the correct declination.
Please note that you should do some research prior to installing a KU motor as it can be difficult. You should at least use a satellite finder. You may wish to look at our KU Motor Installation Guide.
POWERTECH 24" ACTUATOR FOR C BAND DISHES UP TO 2.4 METRE DIAMETER
This actuator has a 24" reach and is suitable for polar mount mesh C band dishes up to 2.4 metres in diameter. The actuator is easily installed on most polar mounts and operates via low voltage power cable. Cable type suitable would be our 5 core actuator cable or CAT 5E data cable. In most of Australia, on C band, we can see Telstar10, Thaicom3, Insat2E, Asiasat2, Asiasat3, PalapaC2, Asiasat4, Apstar6, Intelsat8, Intelsat2 and Intelsat701 (circular polarity). Satellites viewable in your area are dependent on footprint. More satellites are possible in other states. Using this actuator on your dish when correctly aligned and installed would allow you to watch programs from multiple satellites.
It is important if you are installing a motorised C band system yourself, to use a satellite finder and inclinometer.
