AUSTRALIAN FREE TO AIR HIGH DEFINITION VAST PACKAGE
Now available is the Viewer Access Satellite Television service otherwise known as VAST. The VAST service will revolutionise the way we watch TV especially for those living in poor reception areas and in remote regions where the only services to date have been ABC, SBS, Imparja and Seven Central. The VAST service will provide the same number of channels that are currently available in metropolitan areas: programs from the Seven, Nine and Ten networks and the national broadcasters’ main channels, ABC1 and SBS ONE, along with digital channels ABC2, ABC3, ABCHD, SBS TWO, 7TWO, GO! and ONE HD. A new ABC 24 hour news channel is now running on this service as of August 2010.
The decoder supplied with this kit is pre-activated with all of the ABC and SBS channels as well as the new ABC24 News channel. According to the information provided to us by the Digital Ready Taskforce, those of you living in remote or regional areas that currently rely on the existing Aurora satellite service for TV reception, should be approved for access to the commercial services in mid December 2010. Get in early as there are limited numbers of decoders available at the moment as most of the stock is being allocated to the analog switch off areas in SA. This kit is sold as a DIY system with over the phone technical support provided and detailed instructions on how to install the system.
This kit includes a high quality, Zinc and powdercoated 85cm satellite dish, roof mount (tin, tile or wall - select from the drop down box), LNB (low noise block - fits on end of dish), DIGITAL satellite finder to locate the signal, 15m RG6 coaxial cable, wallplate, high definition UEC DSD4121 decoder, smartcard and easy to follow self install instructions.
We also have the decoder available as a seperate purchase so if you already have a satellite dish on the roof all you need is the VAST approved decoder. Click HERE .
If you already have an official (either approved black spot or within the TV1 licence area) Aurora satellite service (ABC, SBS, Imparja and Seven Central) then you automatically qualify for commercial channel access later in the year (based in information provided to us by the Digital Ready Taskforce).

Absolutely the best quality C band mesh dish available. Be aware of poor quality copies as the surface area of the dish is critical for high performance.
75mm galvanized pole required and is not included. This can be sourced from a local steel supplier. We suggest at least 2.8m length pole if ground or wall mounting.
